I painted this particular door a light spring green (hard to see in the sunny light, but I won't complain about the sun being out!). I also added an applique to the top panel, and added a hook.
The middle panel I painted with blackboard paint.
It would work well leaning in a playroom, kitchen, or entryway! I would suggest that even though the leaning look is great, please anchor it to the wall as well for extra support. These doors are heavy and I wouldn't want anyone getting hurt!

Love a chalkboard door! Yours is so fresh and pretty! Great job getting it done quick...I do the same thing sometimes.
great chalkboard! I love chalkboards and doors, so of course I love this!
thanks for commenting about my table redo. That glaze look is a little intimidating. Sometimes I have the tendency to just keep trying to get it right.

Love, love, love this and have a door in my garage that I am planning on using chalkboard paint on!
In response to your comment about Ava's swimsuit... what you couldn't see in the picture is that it was last years suit and about 2 sizes too small!!!! It looked like a thong on her! =)
The door turned out great. I love it! Love & blessings from NC!
Found you blogsurfin. Love how you tranformed the door, so charming! I am completely in love with your turquoise sideboard (me and the rest of the world! ha!).
Cheers!

Awesome door, Love your blog! Found you from
Tatertots & Jello's blog. Love your blog!
Do you live in MD ? I saw a post about Annapolis. I live in Easton. On the eastern shore.
Love the color and the chalkboard... you made it really cute.
That's really cute. I love the embellishments.
Stick a handle on it and put some molding around it and let it open onto a wall.... that strikes me as funny. That would be an interesting thing when kids come to the play room and think it's a real door. Chalkboards are so much fun, love the color.
I love your chalkboard door! What a fun (and functional!) idea! I really like how you added the wooden applique. I love using them in my projects! And the pretty green color is so cheery, too!
Love it! I have an old freebie door too that I painted up as a chalkboard for my back patio! Great minds think alike eh?!
Tania
Free?!? That's madness! That is one amazing door. And the old style hook and applique are the perfect touches. Nice chalkboard!
Donna
