Piece of Work Wednesday Furniture Link Party Number 31!

When you were in college did you ever get just so excited to go out with your friends for the night and party, that you ended up being a little on the early side to the party and then you felt like a complete dork?  Well I did.  I still am neurotic about being on time for everything, and often am a little early.  Well, today I am so excited about this makeover, and heck, it's my party.  So if I want to start it early, I can!  And if you to come and party early with me, then by all means!  You are in good company!

I am so excited about the makeover I have to share with you this week.  I was able to get away to the auction last week and found this charming desk.
See, it was charming, cottagey, simple.... even had vintage Holly Hobby contact paper in the drawer.  Cute, but not for me.  I wanted to give this desk a more sophisticated look!  Bring on the Newburg green paint!  Bring on the Lion's head pulls (from my stash)! Bring on the cool wallpaper!!  And here it is after all the bringing on!

This cute little desk will be coming to the Lucketts Market with me next month!  And if it happens to come back home with me, it might move in permanently.  I think this desk and I might be prepared to take it to the next level, if you know what I mean.

So what have you been working on?
Be courteous.  Be kind. Rewind.  Follow the Rules.

1. Your entry MUST BE A FURNITURE MAKEOVER OR BUILD.
2. It must be new to POWW, meaning it can be an old link, but never before seen here!
3. Add my button to your post or sidebar.
4. Please make nice and visit other links.
5. NO etsy shops!
6. Rock on!

LOVE it! What a great color! I like the lion head pulls too. I would definitely keep that one too.

My furniture sadly isn't done yet. I am having just a horrible time stripping it. Do you know if crackle finish is hard to strip? I have tried two times with the citrus acid strip and it just doesn't want to come up. sigh....

Cassie, I FINALLY figured out how to link to your party! Mine is #23. I know, I'm a little slow. I have copied and pasted your button, but I'm not sure how to put it on my post? So...if you have VERY EASY directions for me I might be able to do it! P.S. LOVE your little table.

Love, love, love the "new" desk! And I wouldn't blame you if you "accidentally" forgot to bring it with you to Luckett's and then had to keep it for yourself ;)

I LOVED Holly Hobbie and I think you should have kept the paper in the drawer because it would have matched the new color you painted perfectly!

anyway, I love what you have done and you never cease to amaze me with your choice and stash of knobs....

Take care,
Lisa

ps....I don't think I have done any furniture in the past few days, so I am going to go see what I linked up to your party last week...Maybe I'll link Sami's armoire this week????

I am a follower, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to put buttons on my blog pages. I have slaved over this one, gone to the forums, etc. Do you know of a good tutorial on how to put other blog buttons on my blog? btw....when I saw "Lucketts" I about fainted. Miss Mustard Seed is my inspiration for starting my blog and I KNOW you know her because of Lucketts. :)
