My husband had asked me what I wanted to do for Mother's Day. With the Lucketts Fair just around the corner, I wanted to have the day to work. I also wanted to fill our planters, and get out all of our garden accessories. So that's just what we did! I finished up several projects... my nightstands, two dressers, a cabinet, and some smaller items. I'll share the pink dresser today. I was amazed last week at what a hit the pink table was last week. I found a dresser that was very similar in style for $30 last week.
Since the nightstand was a hit, I thought I should go for the same look. It's painted with Annie Sloan's Henrietta pink chalk paint, and distressed with a paint scraper, by using the side of the blade (rather than the blade) and scraping along the edges. This piece will be coming to Lucketts with me!
My garden cart (a $5 flea market find) with my painted pots, which we filled with geraniums and lantana.
Hot Topic since he saw it at work. How cute!!!
And now, how bout a couple of sneak peeks... I am busy planning an event this week, and found these merry guys for 10 cents each at a yard sale. They will come in handy!
And here is a little glimpse of another piece I finished today!
Well, my husband is grilling for me tonight, and I am looking forward to putting my feet up and relaxing after working so hard this weekend!
