Piece of Work Wednesday Furniture Link Party Number 37!

I am getting the ball rolling early today... Chris is away and we have a playdate later, as well as teachers night at McDonald's so Sawyer's kindergarten teacher will be working there at 6 pm!  We don't eat fast food, but I am making the exception tonight so Sawyer can visit his teacher.  Then of course I have a double header tonight with Glee AND American Idol!!!!

I shared the before of this little piece a while back.  It was pretty ugly, country pine looking... but it was free!  It is the one on the left in the picture.

I really didn't know what to do with it since I just didn't love it.  So I played it safe and painted it my Ben Moore platinum gray, distressed it, and gave it some glass knobs.  And voila!  I still don't love it, but maybe someone else will. :)

Cassie enjoy your afternoon. PS - for some reason the before pic isn't showing up on my computer (told you my Dell was on the outs!) but just wanted to make you aware.

I definitely think it's cute. Not the cutest, but you made it as cute as it possibly could be. Hmmmm...is a luggage rack furniture??

Hi Cassie...just checked out your pics from Lucketts. You have been one busy girl. Your stuff looked great! I really don't know how you Moms w/ young kids do what you do...amazing!

Your honesty is refreshing, Cassie! I'm sure someone else will find it to their liking, though. :) Looking forward to Glee myself (though I haven't watched Idol in years.) Take it easy tonight after all the busy-ness of the day!

What a face lift! It will surely find a loving home. Excited for the season finale of Glee as well!

no lie- I have that piece in my bedroom at home- but in the original finish! I also have a huge armoire that matches. I hate to get rid of them b/c I have a sentimental attachment, but I really do not care for them. This is what happens when you take a third grader to a furniture store to pick out a bedroom suite. (My dad's idea- sometimes men don't think things through.) Luckily, I still really like my bed.

I think the dresser would be very cute in a child's room. I'm sure someone will fall in love with it and it will be perfect for them :)

I think the gray dresser is adorable, but I know what you mean about not connecting with certain pieces....

Take care,
Lisa
