Piece of Work Wednesday Furniture Link Party Number 44!

Sorry I have been a little MIA.  We had showings each day this weekend as well as yesterday, so every time I have wanted to sit down and write I have been booted from the house!  Sunday we spent the whole day at my parents while there was a showing, and had a nice lunch with my parents and friends.  We were all exhausted, drove 45 minutes home, only to find out we had to leave in 30 minutes.  Let's hope something comes of these showings soon!
Besides the showings, there was also a little bit of this going on...

That's right- the carnival was in town!!!!  We took the kids last night and they had the best time I can remember them having at a carnival!  Emmy said "the carnival is the best place in the whole west!"  We live in the east of course, so not really sure where that comes from.  Sawyer said it was his favorite place in the world!  And we also came home with two new pet goldfish- both kids won!!!  Emmy's fish is Ava, and Sawyer's is Freddy Chewbacca Bustamante.  I hope they live.

So in between all of that I have managed to eek out a couple of projects.  This dresser was a free craigslist find..
You will have to head over to The DIY Club for the full tutorial of how I took it from that to this...

Head over there to read all about it, but I can tell you that I have a new found LOVE for Milk Paint!  Love it!!!

Oh, and I want to mention that you can link up any DIY projects into the monthly party going on over there for TONS of prizes from our awesome sponsors, like Gorilla glue, Rockler, Dischangers, Dutch Boy Paints, Cutting Edge Stencils, Design Divas... and MORE!!!!

Um, that dresser is gorg!! I mean, that may be the best thing I've seen you do so far! I've been really trying to find less expensive options for the chalk paint and have been looking into the milk paint! I'm about to hop on over to check out how you did this piece with the milk paint!

Glad you had some fun family time at the carnival! Love the dresser. And it was free? How lucky! I love that milk paint in buttermilk yellow too. But I didn't realize that you didn't have to prime.

Oh Cassie, I feel for you. I remember going through the "showing" while I was pregnant and then had a new born. Prayers that it goes under contract soon going your way.
