Speaking of baking, I also made these S'mores cookie bars I found on pinterest this past weekend. My pan was 9"x9" so I didn't have enough for the entire layer of cookie on top. So i just crumbled the topping and added some more crunched up graham crackers. The picture below is form the original link. But let me tell you, they are soft, chocolatey, marshmallowy, and divine. YUM.
Anyhow, this is NOT a baking blog, and it never will be, so let's get to the furniture. A couple weeks ago I shared a chair makeover with you. I had two other chairs just like it, but one had caning that was still in good condition. It is the one on the right in this picture...
order here). I love the pretty shade of blue, and love that it is named after Memphis. Chris and I actually lived there for a short time. Memphis is home to the first apartment we shared back when we were livin' in sin! Anyhow, all I did to prep this chair was make a couple of repairs to the legs which had minor splits. So just some glue and a couple clamps was all it took. I did not sand this chairs, and just brushed the paint right on. I gave it two coats, and then distressed it with 160 grit sandpaper by hand. Then I used CeCe's wax, using a rag to wipe it on, and a brush to get into the detailed hard to reach areas of the chair. And here it is now! And I am loving the blue next to my house (though I am not keeping this chair) so I am feeling good about thinking I will eventually paint the doors some shade of blue. :)
