Happy Monday! Wondering what my title is all about? Well, I have teamed up with a fabulous group of people and we are all going to be tacking progressive projects this summer, and pushing ourselves to try new things. Here is the lovely group of people who are going to also be participating:
I searched all over my house for a project to do....
the master bedroom? too big.
the loft above the garage? too, well, lofty of a goal.
the inside of the garage? how long will organization in there really last?
the hallway? it was the closet doors that daunted me and said "not now!"
emmy's room? it needs a grace period of at least 6 months in existence before i change it!
So what did I decide on...... (picture from move-in week last fall)
-replacing the mirror
-painting the walls
-painting the vanity
-replacing hardware
-MAYBE lighting but doubtful since it scares me (though there is that whole without borders thing i guess)
-painting the trim
- creating a hook rack
- paint the ceiling???? This would be me pushing my limits. I have never painted a ceiling. This would be a nice small one to start with!
For now unfortunately the carpeting will stay until we are able to redo the flooring throughout the entire bathroom area. It's sort of a jack and jill and we each have our own vanity sides.
To give you an idea of where I would like this all to go colorwise, here are some of my "kids bathroom" pins.
The following two images are from At the Picket Fence. Love this powder room!

Answers to these riveting questions and more will be brought to you on July 16, July 30, Aug 13, and the final Reveal on August 28!

Somehow I think you will get it done ;) Love the colors! Bright and happy just like those kiddos. And I have changed many a light fixture...if you want my help I am there!
Eight weeks, are you kidding, you'll have it done waaay before that! When you start a project, you get it done! And the color scheme is absolutely you!
Yes you will paint the ceiling. Yes you will change out the light. (It is easy, email me, seriously) and yes you will get it all done. The accountability of a blog makes getting commitments done!!! lol
I think you'll get it done! Love the blue and orange! I've been colllecting stuff in blue and yellow (mustard) for our master bedroom!
Can't wait to see what you do with this bathroom, Cassie!
Totally digging all the pops of orange in your inspiration pics! It will be awesome!
Like the inspiration pics, good luck!
you can do it!!!! Good luck and I am excited to follow your progress!
Love the color combination and I think you picked a very doable project. It's amazing how blogging helps me get my projects done.
I'm liking your choice of colors, Cassie. Eight weeks?...sheesh, you could do your whole house in eight weeks with your energy level! Looking forward to the outcome.
Can you do it in 8 weeks? I've seen what you accomplish in a day girl - so hands down no problem for you.
~Bliss~
Love the colors! A bathroom in 8 weeks? Depends on how many kids you have running around at any given moment.
Cassie,
Love your inspiration for your bathroom. Can't wait to see your finished project.
((((Hugs)))

You can do it! Love that sailboat wallpaper!
the blue and orange will look very pretty. I just re-did my kids bathroom (just paint, maybe one day I will replace the big mirror). I used a teal blue on the cabinet and I love the way it turned out, way more unique than the plain white it used to be
REALLY excited to see the outcome!!!
Oh it's going to be fantastic. Can't wait to see!!
I love the orange with the gray! So fun and cheerful! Seems to me that you'll be blogging WITH borders what with the time limit...but there's nothing like a little outside deadline pressure, right, to get you going! You can do it!! :)
of course you can do this! :) It will be fun to see how it all comes together and what the kids input will be. :)
gotta love pinterest, eh? ohhh so much easier to refer back to a favorite!
good luck Cassie-I can't wait to see it.

You can totally paint the ceiling - no problem! Use a small foam roller and your arm won't get so tired. Loving the color combo- so fresh and fun!
I agree - you will knock this thing out in no time. Loving the inspiration picks and look forward to seeing where you go from here. Enjoy your well deserved break from blogging Cassie.

Man. You seem committed!! Can't wait to see what you do. Get on it. You only have 8 weeks. Chop chop!
blue and orange make such a happy couple. sounds like a fun challenge. lighting scares the beejeezus out of me too--i'm not too anxious to test myself in that area.
Ambitious, but you can totally do it. Orange and blue are perfect for the kiddos. I'm kinda freaking out right now about getting something done in the next two weeks. :-/
I love the floor in the Peppermint Bliss bathroom! You should totally splurge for that in the future! I know I would :)
Can't wait to see the new touches or the new changes of the place! :)
