Vacation Photos and Engagement Photos

Since I have been away on vacation, I don't have any projects to show you just yet.  I started several before I left, so there will be plenty coming your way!  For now, I thought I would share with you some glimpses of our beach trip, some family photos, and some engagement photos I took of my brother in law and his fiance (they were engaged in May).  I wanted to get some photography practice in so asked them if they would be guinea pigs for me, and they obliged!  I will share those first, since they were the most creative ones I took, and the most of of my box of normalcy.

My brother in law is 10 years younger than Chris, but as he has grown older that gap in their ages has really closed.  I don't think Chris goes a day without talking to Travis, who I would consider to be his best friend.  Travis is sweet, easy-going, fun to be around, and makes one heck of an Uncle to Sawyer and Emmy.  This trip was the first time that I met his fiance, Jill.  And I can say that I 100 percent absolutely love her- she is a natural beauty, funny, sweet, and is a perfect addition to the family.  The kids loved her-- Emmy especially was taken with "Miss Jill" and always wanted to play with her.  Jill is absolutely fabulous with kids!  So aside from the fact that I liked hanging out with her, she was a tremendous help to us as well.  I am just so excited that we get to be sisters in law!  Anyhow, here are a few of my favorites from the quick session we did, and I have their permission to show you. :)

That last one is my absolute favorite.  But I have to admit they are a gorgeous couple, so making them look good was not hard!

We also took some shots on the golf course near the house.... I used my timer and ran into this one which is now on my "about me" page.

And of course, I have lots more beach pictures!

Possibly my favorite.... she is a diva and in diva fashion was angry with mommy following her around like the paparazzi.  About 5 minutes later she asked me to come take pictures of her on the boogie board.

All in all, we had an awesome trip.  The kids are at the perfect age for fun at the beach, and they were even able to keep up with our late nights. :)
I have to admit that being without internet was amazing... liberating!  It's going to be hard getting myself back into the swing of it this week.  I think I need another vacation.
