It is HUGE. Seriously almost as tall as me and I am about 5'7". See....
It was tough to see the top to paint it, but I managed. I chose Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Provence that I ordered through Kelly at Stylish Patina. I ordered it and it arrived in just a few days time! Out of all the chalk paint colors, the two that I gravitate towards have always been Paris Grey and Provence. You may recall I painted the bed that went with this dresser in the Paris Grey, but this dresser, with its orange tinted bakelite pulls, was calling for Provence. I gave it a couple coats of paint, waxed it and added a teensy bit of golden oak stain to my clear wax, and then I distressed it. Here it is now...
That was a lot of pictures, huh? Well I really love this one! :) I love its beautiful hardware, color, and its unique shape and details. It will be available for sale this weekend at the Stylish Patina barn sale. I won't be working there this weekend, but I will be out there shopping on Sunday. Maybe I will see you!
Alright your turn!

How do you do that? How do you make every project better than the last one? You are amazing, and so is that dresser! I'll have to show this to my daughter. She has a waterfall vanity with bakelite handles, and I think this kind of makeover would be something she'd love.
