Happy Monday! Hope you all had an awesome weekend! Mine was a whirlwind of hard work and fun! The Hometalk Halloween Hunt was a huge success for Sweet Clover; we could not be happier. I thank each and every one of you who came! The link party will go live on Wednesday for that and run for 2 weeks! After the event at Sweet Clover, Sarah and I headed downtown for some shopping and dinner. We both had tied and sore feet so we walked slowly, but we had a blast! I will have to share some of my finds with you- I found one piece of clothing that had to come home with me! :)
Yesterday my family took our family photos with the talented and gorgeous Eddie of Jalapeno Photography. Even though it was 87 degrees outside we donned our wool and flannel for the sake of great family photos! The kids were so well behaved, and all I know is that my family really loves me to stand in the heat in Fall clothes for a photo shoot! :) I can't wait to see how they turned out and I will of course share with you!
So today kicks off the Pumpkin parade!!!
Today you can find fun pumpkin projects here, Shift Ctrl Art, and Decor and the Dog.
I am sharing a relatively easy project involving some of my favorite products, paint and golding wax! I started with these mini pumpkins/gourds I found at the grocery store....
I used an old brush and with a heavy hand applied white paint to the top halves of some of my pumpkins (I wanted to keep some natural), so that the paint would drip.
I allowed that to dry and then I used gilding wax in King gold (similar to rub b buff) and applied it with my finger to the stems of my dipped pumpkins. Here they are after they were completed....
And here they are gracing my dining room table, which is all set for Halloween!
I just love that touch of gold!
Here's a better view into the dining room with its new centerpiece....
Hope you enjoyed my super easy dipped and gilded pumpkins!
