Insta-Friday

Happy Friday!  TGIF!  This has been one crazy week.... Chris has been away and is finally due home this morning, so on top of getting ready for the Hometalk Halloween Hunt tomorrow at Sweet Clover, I've been solo parent, carting the kids from here to there and making sure homework gets done.  The kids have been wonderful all week, but my dogs have felt neglected and let me know by eating Sawyer's left over cinnamon rolls, taking a box of chocolates out of the pantry and eating that, peeing on the floor, and more.... yes, they've been a real furry delight.  I had to remind myself several times this week why I love my dogs.  GAH.  Anyhow, I am off to the barn again today to finish up, but wanted to share a peek into my week via insta-gram (cassie8978)!

Last weekend my parents took the kiddos and I worked a little on Emmy's room, removing her closet doors (which were well loved on pinterest!) and adding curtains instead.  With her vanity now in her closet it just makes sense.  These are Ikea curtains but I was lucky to have a friend give them to me as she had just taken them down from her daughter's room.

I also went to Ikea and picked up this fun turquoise pillow she had to have!   And also the stuffed animal hanging organizer which I don't love, but is a necessary evil with this child.

I had an amazing night out with friends!  And after a facebook friend of another friend commented "Who let the lone brunette into your club?"  How funny is that?  I hadn't noticed I was the only one with brown hair!

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch and Sawyer chose this one which has lots of character.

Our rule is you can't get it unless you can carry it.... Emmy did not get this one.

My two loves...

I worked on my pumpkin project to be revealed Monday.

I went for a dark walk Monday morning before Chris left....

it lightened up as I walked and I saw that the colors are starting to change.

This shot was taken before he ate all the cinnamon rolls and peed on the floor.

My kitchen island is built and will be here this weekend!!!  Just need to finish it!

Emmy drew "Go, Dog, Go" and I think it's rather good!

I chose family photo outfits for this weekend.... red white and blue with a little boho twist.

I got Emmy this adorable deer tunic from Target.  I asked if I could take a picture and asked if Sawyer wanted to jump in, too... this is what I got.  Love these two!

I finished this table and brought it to Sweet Clover.

I styled my bookcases for fall with antlers and brass animals....

And I stopped at a random Thursday yard sale on my way home yesterday from the barn!  Emmy photobombed! :)  I am in love with that coffee table!  Not sure what I will do with it just yet....

That's all!  Have a great weekend and hope to see some of you tomorrow!

  18. Busy week, Cassie! Your kids are so cute. Looking at all the pumpkins and seeing that you have dressed up your shelves for the season I realize that I am in no way ready for Fall or Halloween.

  19. Thanks for hosting today! I had a great time!

Also, at On A Whim, I saw a similar coffee table that someone painted black and distressed, then flipped over and made into a canopy dog bed by putting a cushion in it! I thought it was super cute and clever.

  20. Love what you have done with Emmy's closet. The curtains really softent hings up and it is always great when you can 'add' floor space to a room.
